Description
This limited-edition shirt features an authentic vintage design sourced from the personal archive of Mr Walter Hoffman, whose iconic tropical-print fabrics have been a staple of modern surfwear since the ’50s. Known as the "Surf Rider" print, the colourful motif was inspired by Mr Hoffman’s early days in Hawaii, during which he was stationed in the US Navy at Pearl Harbor. Mr Hoffman would work in the evenings, leaving his days free to surf and give surf lessons to visiting tourists. Also depicted is the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, one of the first hotels established in Waikiki, and one of its most famous, earning the nickname The Pink Palace of the Pacific.
